Our client is a local MNC manufacturing company that designs and produces high-quality components for the medical technology sector. The business supports global customers and operates multiple manufacturing sites across Asia, with a strong focus on engineering innovation and regulated manufacturing excellence.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Production Engineer to support daily manufacturing operations by driving production efficiency, yield, quality, and compliance. This role works closely with planning and warehouse teams to ensure production targets are met, resources are optimized, inventory is well-managed, and production teams follow ISO-aligned processes, safety standards, and SOPs. The ideal candidate is hands-on, energetic, and comfortable leading line leaders and operators in a fast-paced plastics manufacturing and assembly environment.

Responsibilities:

Production Management

  • Collaborate with the Planner to organize and execute manufacturing processes aligned to production schedules and customer demand
  • Manage production line yield, quality, and efficiency to optimize operations and achieve KPIs set by management
  • Ensure strict compliance with production processes, parameters, 5S standards, work safety, labelling requirements, and ISO quality system documentation (SOPs, WIs, forms, checklists)
  • Lead development and continuous improvement of forms, work instructions, and checklists to improve operational effectiveness

Resource Management

  • Allocate and optimize manpower, equipment, and materials to meet daily and monthly production targets
  • Ensure preventive maintenance activities are executed, and machinery is in proper working condition before and during production
  • Manage attendance, discipline, and performance of line leaders and operators to maintain a productive and compliant workforce

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient availability of raw materials and finished goods to support production
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel on inventory control measures to reduce carrying cost while preventing stockouts

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in factory operations management, preferably with strong exposure to plastics manufacturing and assembly
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage teams of line leaders and operators
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and customers
  • Hands-on, energetic, and able to analyze and troubleshoot machine-related issues
  • Adaptable, analytical mindset and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
