IT Office Manager
Job Description:
🧑💻 Role Overview
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems, supporting a small team of investment professionals, and maintaining a secure, compliant, and efficient tech environment. This role requires discretion and trustworthiness and candidates must have a track record that demonstrates these traits.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Preside over group IT strategy, with an understanding that IT is strategic to the group’s objectives and requires thoughtful planning and execution commensurate with its importance
- Oversee existing, planned and future special IT projects of a strategic nature
- Oversee vendor relationships related to IT infrastructure and services, including with the vendor responsible for designing and maintaining the group’s IT architecture and infrastructure
- Run ad hoc AI and automation projects to improve internal workflows
- Provide day-to-day IT support across devices, networks, and applications
- Manage software licenses, updates, patches and cybersecurity protocols
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and liaise with external vendors
- Support secure data storage, backups, and access controls
- Assist with onboarding new staff and setting up secure workstations
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all IT operations
🎯 Ideal Candidate
- 5-10 years of experience in IT support or systems administration
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, and cloud platforms
- Experience in financial services or investment environments preferred
- Previous experience with family office IT operations is a strong plus
- Discreet, trustworthy, and proactive with excellent problem-solving skills
- Exposure to AI tools, scripting, or automation platforms is a plus
- Fluent in English, Cantonese is a plus
