NPARKS - Product Lead

About the Role
We are looking for a Product Lead to help establish product team and shape how product management is practiced within the organisation. You will lead the delivery of digital products from discovery through to continuous improvement, working closely with users, stakeholders, design, and engineering teams.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys building both products and product capability from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Discovery
- Lead product discovery to understand user needs, business challenges, and operational opportunities
- Work with users and stakeholders to define and validate problem statements
- Define product vision, outcomes, and success metrics
- Develop product strategies and roadmaps aligned to user needs and organisational priorities
- Use research, experimentation, and data to guide decisions
Product Delivery & Execution
- Work closely with Design and Engineering Leads to deliver and improve digital products
- Translate product vision into clear priorities and backlogs
- Prioritise work based on user value, organisational outcomes, and delivery constraints
- Drive iterative delivery through experimentation and continuous learning
- Balance short-term delivery with long-term product sustainability
Building Product Capability
- Help establish NParks' first product team and ways of working
- Introduce modern product management practices across the organisation
- Develop frameworks, processes, and playbooks for future teams
- Mentor and support future Product Managers and apprentices
Stakeholder Leadership
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Align competing priorities across diverse groups
- Promote product thinking and outcome-based delivery
- Communicate product direction, trade-offs, and outcomes clearly
Product Growth & Improvement
- Monitor product adoption, user satisfaction, and operational outcomes
- Use data and feedback to continuously improve products
- Drive adoption and organisational buy-in
- Ensure long-term value delivery beyond launch
Requirements
- 8+ years' experience in digital product management across discovery, delivery, and continuous improvement
- Proven experience leading end-to-end product delivery (discovery to operations) with measurable outcomes
- Strong experience in user research, prioritisation, roadmapping, and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to define product strategy, vision, and outcomes, and make decisions using data and insights
- Strong understanding of Agile, Lean experimentation, and design thinking
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and building new teams, processes, and ways of working
- Hands-on approach to discovery and delivery work
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence without formal authority
- Experience coaching or developing product talent is highly desirable
- Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
